The Kitchen is Done!!!

The accomplishments thus far on this little adventure are few. But I am extremely happy how things are starting to come together. The installation of the kitchen cabinets was finally completed. It was much easier to install then I originally thought. The key was locating the studs and leveling the cabinets. Here are some of the pictures that were taken recently.

The four new cabinets and two counter tops were installed. Three of the cabinets were screwed together and then mounted to the wall. The other cabinet and counter top was mounted by the stove. There was one long counter top that was about 91 inches in length. The cabinet by the stove is about 18 inches in length. New hardware was installed to all of the new cabinets. For the old white hanging cabinets, the old hardware and hinges were removed and replace with new chrome plated hardware.

The kitchen also has a new fridge, which I don't have a picture at this time. But it is a new fridgedare like the new stove.

The plumbing lines for the old washer were removed and capped. The concerns were that a tenant would possibly have a washer failure and have water pour down from the second floor. Thus by removing the line, it doesn’t give the tenant an option. The tenant can utilize the washer and dryer in the basement.
