Where's the tarp!?

I have been living in this house for sometime now.. And in the beginning of the month of August, we (Western Mass residents) had some serious rain storms..Well, to sum it all up, the ceiling in my bathroom upstairs collapse and ruined my hopes of getting the second floor apartment up and running by September... But more on that later... Lets take a photo tour and discuss possible solutions to make this place livable...

Here is a picture showing the front door of the house. As you can see the photo shows plywood for a floor. However what the photo doesn't show is that the sub floor is pretty thin. I am not sure what the thickness of the floor is, but the floor sags pretty low by the radiator. The room is also pretty dark in the day. There is only two window in the hall way. One to the left of the front door and one up at the top of the steps.
Here is a picture of the step that go up to the second floor apartment. Nothing really exciting here... lets move along...

As discussed earlier, this is the living room. The walls have been painted by Wilson and his team.. They honestly did an awesome job by helping me out here. Which I do have to say, thanks.. I don't remember what the color is, but I want to thank my mom, my aunt Carmen, and Christine for helping me pick the colors for all of the rooms... Anyways, as you can see the pictures shows the living room... What you are looking at is yes a disgusting brown rug that is by far the most scariest thing that I've ever seen ... Well after removing the rug, there was only plywood... nothing else.

Here you will see bedroom 2, the floors were covered with a rug.. But after removing the rug, the floor was in really bad shape. The floor look to have no polish.

This is Bedroom 3, this room had no rug.. but the floor was also in bad shape. It looks like this floor was put in after the hallway and bedroom 2 floor were installed. The only reason that I state this, is because the thickness of the hardwood floor are different... Plus this floor looks much newer the the other... Although it could be that it was once polished where as the other two may not... not sure...

Bedroom 3, but at a different angle...

View of the Master Bedroom from the dining room. The floors in the dining room are peel and stick tiles to mimic pergo flooring... It's actually in decent shape...

Here is a view of the master bedroom.. The hardwood floor is in worst shape then the other rooms.. The floor is wavy. It appears to be warped due to the New England weather.. Plus I believe that the installer my have installed the flooring to tight to the walls and to each other.. The wood absorbed the moisture in the air cause the wood to expand and contract. Thus causing the warping of the wood...

Access to the kitchen is through the dining room. Here you can see the "Awesome Mustard" color walls... The floor is a green tile. The floor shows corrosion residue as explained earlier... The fridge also shows corrosion on the bottom part of the door.. The previous owner decided to unplug the fridge... BAD MOVE... The thing stuck!!!!

The kitchen is actually a decent size. It pretty large for the room. The sink and dishwasher are in good shape and work properly. The sink stinks, however that could be the fact that the drain is not up to code. The drain pipe is no the standard "S" bend... Its a straight pipe, thus allowing the waste smell to enter the kitchen...

Here is the counter top and cabinets.. The space to the right of the cabinets is where the dryer once resided. Initial thoughts were to get a cabinet to fill this space...The bricks are actually a thin piece o brick that was mortared to the walls...Not sure why, but doesn't look appealing...

Here is the back porch roof...As you can see that the roof is in bad shape... It leaked pretty bad when it rained....

Well after some good rain the ceiling finally collapse... I happen to slightly touch the ceiling, then it instantly came crumbing down... I laughed and cried within one second... I had no idea what to do next... Although my answer was presented to me the next day...
